Each week the Center offers Shabbat meals for the students. During these meals, usually run until midnight, the students have a great experience in a family-festive like meal, presented in a pleasant atmosphere. During the course of the meals, interesting conversations are taking place and fascinating discussions ensue. All these take place in a pleasant, friendly atmosphere around the tables filled with best-quality kosher-lemehadrin food. On festivals and Jewish holidays, the Center also provides gala, traditional meals for the students – on every festival. Every special day is stressed and being explained as for its essence, ceremonials and unique symbols. Festival meals at the Center are characteristically held in a festive, uplifted atmosphere, with all kinds of Israeli food of the finest quality, and with fascinating, informative and pleasing content. The Center marks Independence Day and Memorial Day with special attention expressed in unique programs, in tune with the essence of the day. The Jewish Center in Kaunas hosts different groups, formal delegations from Israel, the United States and Europe. As part of the hospitality, the guests meet students in an enriching and fascinating dialog.
