There is a feminine, empowering, touching experience that takes place at the Center.
Every few weeks women students gather together for a ladies’ evening – an evening when “challah” [the prescribed portion] is separated from challah dough. Together, in a friendly atmosphere, the women prepare the dough. When the dough – which becomes fragrant – rises, they separate “challah” and take advantage of this auspicious moment to make their personal requests, both for themselves and for their dear ones. Then, they braid beautiful challot and share, together, this traditional and moving women’s experience.
